How much does a new driveway cost in West Sussex?+
We price every driveway after an on-site visit — there are too many variables (excavation depth, sub-base, drainage, dropped kerbs, surface material) to give a meaningful number over the phone. Free quote, back to you the same or next day.
How long does a driveway installation take?+
An average front driveway (40–60m²) takes 5–8 working days. Larger driveways with drainage works and kerb dropping take 2–3 weeks.
Do I need planning permission?+
If the new surface is impermeable and over 5m², yes — unless drainage runs to a permeable area within the property boundary. We design to comply and avoid the planning issue entirely.
Can you drop the kerb?+
We coordinate the dropped-kerb application with West Sussex County Council Highways and arrange the works with an approved contractor.
How long will the driveway last?+
A correctly built block paving driveway lasts 25+ years; resin-bound 15–20 years; tarmac 12–18 years. All come with a written 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Will weeds grow through the joints?+
Kiln-dried sand brushed into block paving joints, or polymeric jointing on premium installs, eliminates weed germination for years. Resin-bound is inherently weed-proof.
Are you insured for driveway installation work in West Sussex?+
Yes — £5m public liability and £5m employers' liability insurance. We'll happily share the certificate before you sign. Every job comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If something's down to our work, we'll come back and put it right. What it can't cover is the stuff outside our control once we've packed up and gone (like a slab getting chipped by a dropped plant pot). If it's our workmanship, it's covered.
Do you give written quotes for driveway installation?+
Yes. We price every driveway installation job after seeing it — either an in-person visit or photos with accurate measurements. Quotes are free and back to you the same or next day. We don't publish fixed prices online because every job is different.
How do I pay?+
Cash or bank transfer. A small booking fee (around £50) holds your spot in the diary. A 50% deposit is due about a week before we start, with the remaining 50% on completion. No large upfront deposit.
Are you open at weekends?+
Yes — we're open 7 days a week and respond same day, whichever day you call.
How quickly can you start a driveway installation project?+
Driveway installation work is typically scheduled within a few weeks of accepting the quote, sometimes sooner for smaller jobs. We work year-round.
Do you work outside Littlehampton?+
Yes — we regularly work in Worthing, Angmering, Chichester, Lancing, Rustington, East Preston, Brighton and the wider West Sussex. Postcode confirms eligibility in seconds on the phone.
