Standard concrete block paving in 60mm thickness for residential drives, permeable block paving (Marshalls Drivesett Tegula Priora and equivalents) where SuDS compliance matters, clay paviours for character properties, resin-bound for a contemporary low-maintenance finish, and two-coat hot tarmac for budget driveways and shared accesses.
Residential driveways get a 150–200mm compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base over a geotextile membrane. Drainage uses ACO linear channels at thresholds, gulley pots to existing surface-water systems, or full soakaway design where the property has no available stormwater connection. Permeable surfaces eliminate the surface-water issue entirely.
Every driveway is edged with a concrete-haunched kerb, brick edging course, or PCC kerb depending on aesthetic. Without it, vehicle loading pushes the perimeter outward and the centre sinks — the most common cause of failure.
Where you need a new vehicle crossover, we'll guide you through the local authority dropped-kerb application (Arun, Adur, Worthing and Chichester District Councils all run their own approval process). Driveways over 5m² in impermeable surfaces require planning permission unless drainage is to a permeable area within the property.
Most of our driveway work is residential, but we also surface small commercial parking areas in Littlehampton and Worthing. Commercial builds use thicker sub-base, heavier-spec blocks or modified-bitumen tarmac, and accessible drainage.

Cash or bank transfer. A small booking fee (around £50) holds your spot in the diary. A 50% deposit is due about a week before we start, with the remaining 50% on completion. No large upfront deposit.
