How much does a pergola cost in West Sussex?+
Every pergola is priced after we see the space — in person or from photos with accurate measurements. Quotes are free and back to you the same or next day. We don't publish fixed prices online because every pergola is custom-built.
Are your pergolas built to a fixed range or design?+
No — every pergola is custom-built around the property and your requirements. We agree the design and spec with you on site before quoting.
Do I need planning permission for a pergola?+
In most domestic gardens in West Sussex, no — but listed buildings, conservation areas and front-garden installs need checking. We flag anything that needs a planning enquiry before quoting.
Do you handle the electrics for lighting and power?+
Yes — any electrical work is coordinated through our subcontracted electrician as part of the build, with cabling concealed in the structure.
Can you build a pergola over an existing patio?+
In most cases, yes. We survey the existing patio for bearing capacity before quoting. If it's not suitable, we'll tell you honestly.
Are you insured for pergola installation work in West Sussex?+
Yes — £5m public liability and £5m employers' liability insurance. We'll happily share the certificate before you sign. Every job comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If something's down to our work, we'll come back and put it right. What it can't cover is the stuff outside our control once we've packed up and gone (like a slab getting chipped by a dropped plant pot). If it's our workmanship, it's covered.
Do you give written quotes for pergola installation?+
Yes. We price every pergola installation job after seeing it — either an in-person visit or photos with accurate measurements. Quotes are free and back to you the same or next day. We don't publish fixed prices online because every job is different.
How do I pay?+
Cash or bank transfer. A small booking fee (around £50) holds your spot in the diary. A 50% deposit is due about a week before we start, with the remaining 50% on completion. No large upfront deposit.
Are you open at weekends?+
Yes — we're open 7 days a week and respond same day, whichever day you call.
How quickly can you start a pergola installation project?+
Pergola installation work is typically scheduled within a few weeks of accepting the quote, sometimes sooner for smaller jobs. We work year-round.
Do you work outside Littlehampton?+
Yes — we regularly work in Worthing, Angmering, Chichester, Lancing, Rustington, East Preston, Brighton and the wider West Sussex. Postcode confirms eligibility in seconds on the phone.
